Code Name: M.I.M.O.S.A. [2020]
In 2020, Group X and the Philadelphia Navy Yard invited six international artists to six new temporary works of public art that played with the Navy Yard’s built environment. Officially titled Mystery Island and the Marvelous Occurrence of Spontaneous Art (code name: M.I.M.O.S.A.), the project saw installations from Liesbet Bussche, DAKU, Justin Favela, Kid Hazo with South Fellini, Reed Bmore, and Raquel Rodrigo. Artworks were installed from September 15 to November 8, 2020, but both Rodrigo and Hazo/Fellini’s installations will remain at their locations indefinitely.
